About The Norwegian Escape

Norwegian Cruise Lines’ newest ship, currently the fifth largest cruise ship on the seas, features a giant sailfish, stingray and other marine creatures on its hull, painted by marine life artist and conservationist Guy Harvey. Escape sails an Eastern Caribbean itinerary out of Miami where it debuted in November 2015.

Escape has a three-story ropes course and the largest aqua park in the fleet. She also features two Planks, the narrow steel beams let guests walk 8 feet out over the edge of the ship. The sports complex also has five zipline-style Sky Rails, including one that loops out over the side of the ship. In addition to a full-sized basketball court, there is a bocce ball court, a first for the line, and a minigolf course with an urban rooftop theme. Entertainment onboard includes Tony Award-winning musical, After Midnight, showcasing Duke Ellington’s years at the Cotton Club.

With 28 dining options, 11 of which are complimentary, the Escape appeals to a wide variety of tastes. Standouts include Margaritaville, an a la carte lunch restaurant based on the eponymous land chain. The Pubbelly Brothers establishment, Food Republic, serves small international dishes. Tobacco Road, a Miami bar that recently closed after 102 years in business, has been resurrected on the Escape within the ship’s 687 Ocean Place entertainment center. Onboard, all rooms have USB ports located in bedside lamps as well as three outlets on the desk. Toiletries feature a lemongrass scent.
