Over the past handful of blog posts we are exploring what is going on in our bodies to store excess fat and make us not want to exercise. If you missed previous posts click the links below.
Here were my notes from this presentation:
-Our hormones telling us to stop eating is broken
-We have over stimulated the dopamine receptors from eating too much processed foods
-Sugar stimulates the same parts of the brain as drugs and alcohol making stopping hard
This segment I think is the most controversial so far because it touches on the fact that it is more of a chemical and biological issue than a choice issue. It will be interesting as the next decade progresses to see if the science will make this more clear or debunk it.
