A Pep Talk

By January 29, 2013 No Comments

I became a fitness professional almost a decade ago because I had been radically transformed and benefited from what exercise, and in particular, strength training did for my confidence and outlook on life.  The first 5-7 years as a trainer I thought my mission in life was to help people get rid of fat and build lean toned muscle.

Over the past few years I have discovered that there is a MUCH deeper calling and opportunity then just changing the shape of a person’s body.  It is the opportunity and now my responsibility to get people to step off the sidelines of life, and be an active participant in the game of life.  No longer letting life just happen, but creating what life will be like.

As I am on my death bed, hopefully a long time from now, I want to be able to say yes to the following question.  Did I use my talents, skills, and desires, the help educate, motivate, and inspire the greatest number of people to love deeper, achieve more, and have more fun.  If I can answer yes to that, I will be pleased.

So here is a pep talk, a pep talk that is far better than I could have said myself, but so much of what Kid President is saying is so true.  Watch this with your family and take the opportunity to discuss.

I especially love the part about us all being on the same team. This is one of the things I want to really focus on, the FM4L team/family, we are infinitely stronger and more powerful as many instead of individually.
