Plans For The Future And How You Can Help!

By January 1, 2013 One Comment

Today’s blog post and newsletter is meant more for those of you who have been part of my local community, virtual community, or have been getting my daily updates for some time. Although some of you who are newer or have never heard of me might be interested too.

I want to write this somewhat lengthy email and “open the curtains” a little bit to where I believe my calling and my business is going and how that will affect you and the exciting opportunities you will have in the future.

My mission that I created 5 years ago still hasn’t really changed… to help empower and inspire 1 million moms to get in the best shape of their lives by the end of 2015 and to create 14,000 local small support groups.

Currently I have 10 amazing bootcamps in the Madison, WI area and have created 30 home workout DVDs that have transformed thousands around the world.  My semi-daily newsletter (that you are reading now) has about 25,000 faithful readers, and I am able to reach about 500,000 people each day through my I Love Being a Mom Facebook Community.  There are about a dozen strong, courageous women who have started their own local support groups, getting together regularly to work out to my DVDs and go through my Fit Moms For Life book.

I feel very blessed to have been able to accomplish all of this while still in my 20’s.  I am so thankful for each and every person that I have been able to work with and learn from.

But I believe over the next few years there is going to be an exciting explosion in the Fit Moms For Life Movement.

I don’t believe there has been another moment in time where moms need more to take a step back and evaluate how much time they are investing in themselves.  Moms are more tired and overworked than ever, and if things don’t change quickly, the quality of care they will be able to provide for their kids will crumble.

However, what gets me so excited is technology and where things are going.  I want to share with you for a few moments what I believe is going to happen and my plans for the future.  Of course things could change, but at this moment, here are some of my plans for the next few years.

-January 7th, launching Killer Kurves, I program that is only open to those needing to lose 50 or more lbs.  There is a greater focus on behavior and lifestyle change than on exercise.  The program is taught by trainers who have lost over 60 lbs themselves.  Click here to learn more.

-January 27th, 2013 I will be releasing Fit Moms For Life documentary via a red carpet event in Madison.  (Mark your calendars).  This documentary is one of the biggest projects I have taken on, and the finished product is incredible.  I hired an award winning videographer and storyteller, and the movie documents 7 amazing women and the transformations they have seen by taking the FMFL ideas and making them their own.

-In 1-2 months I will be launching the Fit Moms For Life certification program.  It will be an 8 week online course and a 2 day intensive in Madison, WI.  You will learn not only how to help those around you become healthier and fitter, but also the business side of things.  You can take the knowledge you learn and do what you want with it or apply to be part of our licensing opportunity.  (see next point)  Click here to let me know if you are interested in learning more

-In March-April of 2013 I plan on launching Fit Moms For Life licensing opportunity which will be a business in a box and allow trainers and those looking to start or enhance their current training business to tap into the strategies and the brand and reputation FMFL has created.  Also, the licensee’s will have much more direct access to me, and the team, to help their businesses explode.  Click here to let me know if you are interested in learning more

-TV’s will all be streaming online videos soon.  This is already here, but not everyone has the newer TVs or fast enough internet speeds.  Once this becomes widespread.  I will be able to create a TV show that airs, that combines workouts, interviews, cooking, motivation, and so on.  No longer is getting on primetime NBC necessary to transform hundreds of thousands of lives.

-Virtual communities will continue to get more robust so we could all do live workouts together via the TV, computer, or smart phone, then chat with each other after and build community that way.

-In about a month we are launching the FMFL 6 week home challenges that can be done alone, but are intended to be done with your friends and family, meeting once per week.  (Designed to reach our 14,000 group goal)  The program will be EASY to facilitate and will allow the leader to make $300-$500 (each 6 weeks) as well as get in shape herself.  BTW, If you are interested in this, click here to let me know and you could be one of our first 25 beta testers.

-I plan on continuing to live in the Madison, WI area and teach as many MamaTone and Fit Fun Bootcamps that I can each week, while working on all the above initiatives. I have had plenty of offers to move to LA, Florida, NYC, or other places around the world, but Madison feels like home to me and I have no plans currently on changing that in the near future.

To wrap up my plans for the next few years, I want to equip more moms to start their own local chapters, begin to provide a business opportunity for those wanting to start a fitness business, create my own TV workout/reality show, create a strong online community with a place where people can log in on a daily basis and come to for support, and of course provide as many people with tools, tricks, and techniques to reach their ultimate level of fitness.

What keeps me motivated on days when I feel tired or just don’t feel like working?

It is a sad, depressing image that I keep stored in my head.  It is a lonely, depressed, unhappy mom who has three kids, 1, 3, and 7.  She is 50 lbs overweight.  Very self conscious about her body and wishes she could look and feel like she did in high school. She is worried that her husband is going to leave her for a prettier, younger woman.

She is unhappy with herself and despite her best efforts to not let it affect her kids, has subconsciously been imparting those thoughts and behaviors to her kids.  She is confused with all the food manufacturers marketing crap that tricks her into thinking what she is buying for her family is good for her, and she doesn’t have the time or the energy to cook real meals or exercise on a regular basis.

She feels like life is going nowhere and has very little hope for the future.

I humbly believe that Fit Moms For Life and all the programs and support we now have, and will be providing in the future, is what she needs to turn her life around 180 degrees.

How can I be so sure?

I have received countless emails similar to the description I shared above about how their lives USED to be, before joining our community.

So each day that I slack off, don’t work hard, is another day that countless moms of varying degrees of what I described will live through.

This hurts me really bad, and is a tremendous motivator for me.

On a personal note, this came to a head recently when a mom of a 4 year old daughter who came to MamaTone a dozen times, committed suicide.  I had done my best over the past few years to reach out to her and empower her, but it obviously wasn’t enough.

I don’t feel guilty about it, but I only wonder if a few more of the tools that I am planning on creating would have been in place, would she have gotten to such a low place that being dead was better than living?  I don’t know, but I will use it as another motivator.

Sorry to turn this a little depressing, but overall I am so very excited about the future and what all we can do together.

So how can you help?

-If you are a trainer or someone looking to start your own fitness business using the FMFL program, click here, letting me know.

-Those of you who come faithfully to Fit Fun Bootcamps, MamaTone, or invest in my DVDs, keep coming and using them, and also invite others and look for ways you can invest in helping others transform their lives.  By you financially supporting the various programs,  you allow me to hire more people and grow the team to the level that is necessary to have the massive impact I desire.

-If you are a person looking to start a 6 week support group up in your community, click here and someone on my team with get back to you.

-If you live in the Madison area and have places for me to speak and get my message out to more people, please let me know by replying to this email.

-If you have connections to larger groups and organizations who need speakers or are looking to sponsor things, please send them my way.

-If you enjoy the hundreds of newsletters I have written throughout the years, forward them to everyone you know and post on FB links to my blog posts.

-If you have any other suggestions or ideas for me, I would love to hear them.  One thing I have learned is that my readers are brilliant and come up with some amazing ideas and have incredible connections and resources.

More than anything else, I want you to make choices everyday that support a healthy, fit lifestyle, smile more, make as many people each day happy, and give back as much as you can.

It is your spirit and attitude that will shine strong and will allow you to invest into others. When you become the mentor, a very powerful thing occurs…. you will live out what you are teaching at levels you have never seen before.  Plus, we can all learn so much from each other.

Well, this is super long, but this concludes my living room chat with you.  I strive hard to provide an honest and transparent business and tell the truth when it comes to all the nutrition and exercise information out there.  Thank you for all your support- it means so much to me!

With Love,

Dustin Maher
