In June of 2010, my wife and I finally joined Dustin’s Fit Fun Bootcamp. The camp we attended met at 5:30 am. I knew that anyone coming to a class that early in the morning had to be serious about what they were doing. Now I am not a morning person. I find the evening much more interesting so I wasn’t sure how this would all work out.
Well, it didn’t turn out to be as difficult to get up as I imagined. I went to every camp except 2 when I was out of town. One time there were only 3 of us (holiday weekend) so lots of individual attention that day. I blogged every bootcamp I attended during the summer months. If you are interested in reading about my summer journey and my progress, please feel free to visit my other blog.
Now we are inside. This changes the dynamic some because things we had available to us outside aren’t available to us inside (like the hill at Elver Park ). However, the intensity is great and the group vibe remains terrific.
The other big change is that during the summer I didn’t work. After camp I could go home and collapse or take a nap. Now I have to go right to school for work. So far, all is well. I’m energetic when I get there and ready to start the day. I share with my colleagues what I’m doing and am very enthusiastic about the program.
But, rather than continue writing about it, I’m attaching a video of my wife and me at bootcamp. It’s about 3 minutes long and shows just a little bit of what we do in class. If you read my last post, you’ll even notice Dustin pushing me to run faster![youtube e9btr4t-HNU]
Sorry it was kind of dark but you get the idea. This was actually shot over a couple days. I was trying out a new camera for school and learned that this camera had very limited internal memory. That’s why in one shot I’m all sweaty and the next I’m dry. Anyway, have a good day and thanks for taking the time to read my post and watch the video.
